Our story
After more than 25 years in the 4×4 and motor vehicle industry, we saw a gap in the market: a one-of-a-kind, customisable aluminium canopy that is easy to live with every day and fully kitted out for an overland trip, without compromising space or functionality.
More than a decade on, that first canopy has grown into a full range of overlanding equipment: drawer systems, fridge slides, tray canopies, Suzuki Jimny gullwing doors and more, all designed, tested and manufactured at our own factory in Johannesburg.
We are a family-run business and avid overlanders ourselves. We know the difference between a product that photographs well and one that works at the end of a corrugated road, because we spend our own holidays finding out.

Every Bushtech canopy and accessory is designed, tested and manufactured at our own factory in Chartwell, Johannesburg. Owning the factory is the point: the tooling, the people and the parts supply are ours, so what we promise is ours to keep.
Africa’s landscape is home to some of the world’s toughest terrain, and it will either make a product or break it. That is exactly why we build and test here: a canopy that survives the Karoo and the Kalahari is ready for anywhere.
