Seven days to change your mind
If you bought online, you may cancel within seven days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. The goods must be unfitted, unused and in their original condition and packaging.
You pay the direct cost of returning them: either the collection charge, which we quote before we collect, or the cost of bringing them back to Bushtech in Johannesburg. The refund is everything else you paid, to the payment method you used.
Tell us first: contact us with the order number and we confirm the collection or the address.
What the seven days do not cover
A canopy built to your bakkie and cab is made to your specification, and the seven-day right does not reach it. Neither does a canopy that has been fitted to a vehicle: once it has been on the load bin it has been handled, sealed and adjusted to that vehicle.
Beyond the seven days, unfitted stock items are taken back at our discretion, less the collection charge and a handling fee we quote before agreeing the return.
Faulty or not as described
For six months after delivery, goods that are unsafe, defective or not what was described may be returned for repair, replacement or a refund, at your choice, under sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act. We collect a faulty item at our cost.
Where an item is found not to be faulty on inspection, it is returned to you and the collection is charged.
Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Where this page and the Act differ, the Act applies.
Cancelling an order
An order can be cancelled before it is built or dispatched, for a full refund. Once a canopy has been built to your bakkie and cab it is a made-to-order item, and the sections above apply.
A quote deposit is refunded in full if you cancel before the build starts.
If something here is unclear, or your order says something different, tell us and we will work through it with you. Contact us.
