Terms of sale

How this works in South Africa. Written plainly, and it says what we will not do as well as what we will.

Who these terms are between

An order on this site is a contract between you and Bushtech, made under the law of South Africa. We manufacture at our own factory in Johannesburg, South Africa. These terms apply alongside the Delivery and fitment, Returns and cancellations, Warranty and servicing and Privacy and cookies policies, never instead of them.

Prices and payment

Every price is in South African rand and includes VAT at 15%. Your invoice shows the VAT it contains.

The price you pay is the catalogue price at the moment you check out. Checkout re-checks every line against the catalogue before taking payment, and if anything no longer matches it refuses and shows you the current price rather than charging you something you did not agree to.

A quote is approved by you before any money is taken. A canopy that is fitted or collected is paid half up front and the balance when it is fitted or collected; a canopy that is shipped is paid in full before dispatch. In-store payments use your order number as the payment reference, and an invoice is issued once nothing is owed.

Your order, and when it is accepted

Your order stands when we issue an order number and the matching numbered document. Until then nothing has been sold, and if we cannot accept an order for any reason we say so and any money paid comes straight back.

A pricing or listing error we catch before acceptance is corrected, not honoured silently and not charged silently. We contact you with the corrected position and you choose whether to proceed.

Delivery, fitting, cancellation and returns

How and when we deliver and fit, and who is responsible for a fit, is set out in Delivery and fitment. Cancellation and returns, including the seven-day cancellation right for online purchases in South Africa and the fourteen-day return window in Australia, are set out in Returns and cancellations. Both are part of these terms.

Warranty and liability

The warranty position is set out in Warranty and servicing: five years on the frame and two on components, against manufacturing defects.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for a product is limited to the repair or replacement of that product or the refund of its price, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use of the vehicle. Bushtech is responsible for the workmanship of a fit it performs; an authorised fitment centre is responsible for its own workmanship; a canopy you fit yourself is fitted at your own risk. Product defects remain ours in every case.

Nothing on this page limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act. Where this page and the Act differ, the Act applies. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the Consumer Protection Act says cannot be limited.

What we will not do

We will not vary a price after you have paid it, add a fee at the door, or hold you to a date we knew we could not meet. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will put it right.

If something here is unclear, or your order says something different, tell us and we will work through it with you. Contact us.
